5 things I am grateful for today…

What ways did I support and care for myself today?

How are my actions aligning with my values?

What boundaries am I putting in place to protect my peace? Some important areas are screen time and boundaries with people.

Am I seeking re-assurance externally or internally?

When did I notice where I was getting stressed and stop to deepen my breathing?

Thoughts from a Meditation Teacher

We are addicted to thinking. Using our minds to solve all our personal problems. It can’t. So it’s then a matter of practicing letting the thoughts go and coming back into the body awareness, with sensations spaciously filling our consciousness restoring and refreshing our perspective. Being in a space aware of our sensations is a place where we can actually heal. It can’t be forced by the mind. Giving rumination away, becoming focused the breath and body. It’s a practice not an instant cure. Not done logically through the mind thinking “I need to do.. X”, but by practicing being present, it happens automatically, seemingly mysteriously. Mysterious in that the logic of the mind fails to bring the depth of this outcome, its a body intelligence beyond mind. Basic restoration. Peace. Healing. Harmony. All done by simply practicing being present. Over time with repetition and intention, healing happens somatically and spontaneously when the body knows it’s safe. Let’s bring this for ourselves.
